Austria-Hungary trip

Vienna/Wien:
Lovely city with lots of history and music culture. Unfortunately it's tainted with the stench of money. Lots of things are most clearly labeled or they personally direct you towards the most costly option. WC sign points you towards paying toilets while there are free toilets just inside the building behind the sign. Museum guard tell you to store your backpack at the 50 cents coat check when there are free lockers in the basement. Biggest signs inside the airport for the new and guess what expensive CAT train to downtown. No signs for the subway option for just 1/8 the price. (Okay...the CAT trains save 18 min, but for 14 euro extra per person?!) I got a guide book that was printed in 2003. When I compared the museum ticket prices, some are 4x of what they were back in 2003.They moved furniture from the roayl apartments to a different depot and made that a museum. Multiple Mozart houses (apparently this guy moved 14 times in 12 years or so).

Salzburg:
Lovely town where Mozart was born and where "the Sound of Music" was shot. The views and the fortresses are just beautiful. I'd love to go back again, maybe during summer next time, to try the water trick fountains in Hellbrunn.

Budapest:
Unfortunately it was damaged badly during WWII. There are still some valuable things to see. They are still recovering from the communists' reign. Can't blame the people to be strict and money thirsty.
